We have been working on this group of new items for over 2.5 years, we like to think of it as a group of saddle hardware with brains allow me to explain. For too many years now, we have become accustomed to hardware that we thought inferior but done nothing about it. Well, HSBT has done "ALOT ABOUT IT!". And it will not take you long to see that we have made many changes to this line of hardware, and all of those changes are with the purpose of function in mind first which is followed by style. Our strap goods buckles are a little longer than the ususal, making them easier to adjust without cussing, we would hate to be the cause of having anyone fall from GRACE. You will notice that our buckle designs also have a taller standoff which allows the strap goods to lay better within the buckles once they are done up and in use. And each buckle comes with anINLINE TONGUE STALL, instead of that lazy man approach in which the tongue lays between two rings. For the saddle makers amongst us, the front flate plate hardware has a full width slot for the latigo, no more necking down the latigo to make it all fit. There is a deeper offset in the plate which allows the leather to sit deeper into the surface, and lastly there is actually enough room for the foot of the sewing machine around the bottom side of the rigging plate, which will allow for a complimentary line in the cut of the leather and the bottom of the plate itself. WOW, that only took 87 years to get it right since the first plate was made................but HSBT done it. On the back rigging plates we have made huge changes, these plates really do think for them selves.........you can almost leave these plates on the bench top and quit for the evening and they will ALMOST install themselves. OUr new Flat Plate Dee is deeper this time around which allows the dee to hang off the skirt edge on many cuts of skirt. The Dee also has a 90 degree corner at the top which makes installation a snap. Take note of the ample web, and deeper offset, there is a CONCHO RELIEF to the web design which allows the maker to tuck the dee in up high and still have room for his concho placement without hitting the web below. And to top it all of, we hace designed a webbed DEE with room to sew around, the foot width has been taken into calculation and you can sew UP TIGHT to the plate with ease. There are to many features to mention all of them here, so let me just say that the plates are now available in a smooth surface, or in a floral surface design for fronts and backs. There are now 3 styles of flank buckle that you can choose from with floral, smooth and barb wire designs. All of the hardware is done in a strong surgical grade stainless steel, with a sharp crisp polish.............it is a compliment to any work being done by the many leather artists out there today.
